Sending video to a chat room

You must have a web cam (camera), or other video capture device attached to your computer to send video to a chat room.  You may also use 'software hooks' such as SoftCam or Camtasia Studio

To send your video to the chat room, click the 'my cam' icon on the toolbar with your left mouse button, or select 'start my webcam' from the 'actions' menu.  if using the video strip feature, start your webcam by selecting 'start my webcam' from the pull down menu under the 'my webcam' preview area on the right side of the video strip.

A small window will popup and it will contain a list of video drivers that Paltalk can use.

Select the appropriate driver or select WDM Image Capture if your camera does not appear to be listed by name.

After selecting your cameras driver a small 'video preview' window will appear.

You should see your own image in the video preview window. All users in the chat room may now view your video.

Stop sending video to a chat room
To stop sending video to the chat room, close the video preview window by clicking the 'red X' icon on the top right of the preview window.

If you are using the video strip, select 'stop my webcam' from the pull down menu under the preview area.

If you experience difficulties with your camera settings, see the 'video setup' section of this documentation.
