Access list functions (premium room subscribers only)

This feature makes your room 'members only.'  Nobody can enter your room unless they are on the 'members list'. You may combine the members list feature with the password protection of a locked room for added security.

The member list is also where you select the people who you let admin your room.  You can add or remove members at any time, or change their membership status without the need to close your room and reopen it.

This feature is available on your chat room creation form.

To manage members of your group, go to 'manage my group' from 'mypaltalk' and select the 'manage members' tab.

If you are a premium room subscriber you can enable 'members only' mode for access to your chat room.  Once enabled only those people whom you have invited to, or have signed up to join your room, and have been approved as members, will be able to enter your chat room.

place a checkmark in the 'only members of my group can access my chat room' box to enable 'members only' mode
(remove the checkmark if you wish to disable 'members only' mode and allow anyone to join)

click the 'save my changes' button

Members only mode is now active and you will want to add members or approve requests to join by those who want to become members.


managing your access list
To add a nickname to the list, enter their paltalk nickname into the 'Invite Member' box near the top of the window.  Select their status from the pull-down menu.  You may make them a regular member, an admin of your room, or a super admin.

When you press the 'Go' button the nickname will be added to your list immediately.

To delete people from your access list, place a checkmark in the 'Remove' box to the right of their name.  You may  remove as many users as you like at one time.  Just select the nicknames by checking the appropriate boxes and when you are finished click on the 'remove' button at the bottom of the list.

You can also make changes to a users status as a member of your group.  Use the pull-down menus next to each nickname to set their status.  You can make any user a standard member, an admin, or a super admin of your group.  You can change as many members status as you want all at once.  When you are finished click on the 'change level' button at the bottom of the list.
